Crafting dreams, one project and blog post at a time

This month was super busy and fun!

I made huge progress with one of my projects, the jumpsuit. And although I haven’t finished it, I am proud of the progress I’ve made. The bottom part is completed, aka the pants are sewn together nicely and ready to be sewn with the top part. Which gives me a greater headache than I anticipated… meaning I have not a single clue how to do it. So… I’ve taken (now in retrospect maybe a tad bit radical) the step to stop sewing my heart, and try to find patterns to follow. Given that I embarked on this journey to sew myself a vintage wardrobe, I don’t want to sew new clothing, meaning I am a bit uneasy about patterns that don’t originate between the 1920s and the 1960s. So, unless I find patterns, I am stuck, unable to sew.

I’ll have to find a way around it, or get my hands on some vintage, antique and very special patterns. Which is in the making, I’ve messaged a dozen people on Facebook Marketplace.

Big progress, but also small. Gotta be grateful for it all.

The journey is never ending. There’s always gonna be growth, improvement, adversity; you just gotta take it all in and do what’s right, continue to grow, continue to live in the moment by Antonio Brown
