Jumpsuit: Part 3

I am done with the trousers part of the jumpsuit! Wooo hoooo

So, I finished sewing the right side of the legs together. It went nice and easy, nothing extraordinary to report.

Sewing together the left and right sides of the trouser part of the jumpsuit was a little bit trickier because I had to sew in a circular motion, you know, where the legs of the trousers meet, they form a U around your bottom. Now, sewing the U shape was a bit tricky, but I managed to conquer this obstacle, too.

Fitting the left and right sides together.

It turned out to be lovely, just as I imagined it!

I couldn’t continue with the jumpsuit because I don’t know how. I don’t know how to make the top part of the jumpsuit, because the one I copied is way too complicated for me to do.

The top is a bit folded and twisted, which is beyond my ability to map out.

So, I am a bit puzzled about how to continue. The trouser part on the top is pleated, so it is ginormous on me as it is. Meaning I won’t be able to wear the trouser part separately, so until I figure out the top part, I am putting the project to rest. I don’t want to copy the dress as is. I don’t want the exact same jumpsuit; I just used this piece as inspiration. I’ll need to figure out how to put on a top, any top, really.
