Crafting dreams, one project and blog post at a time

So, this is it. The last day of the third month of sewing myself a vintage wardrobe. This month has been super busy, and I’ve made great progress.

I’ve finished the blouse, and I wore it! It is a lovely blouse! I enjoyed wearing it, and I cannot wait for the warmer weather to allow me to regularly put it on. The blouse doesn’t fit as I imagined it, and it’s much much shorter than anticipated, but it is my first clothing item, which I am very proud of.

Fuelled by the excitement the finished blouse gave me, I’ve started on my second clothing project, a jumpsuit, copied from my forever favourite jumpsuit I bought back in the US. I cannot wait to see how it turns out. I’m already feeling much more confident in sewing this new item, and I definitely sew better this time, I mean my lines are much less crooked than on the blouse, so the sky is the limit with a little practice.

Also, the last week of the month, I spontaneously flew out to see my sister in the UK, which is super cool! If she’s at uni many days, I might have the time to explore some second-hand shops hunting for vintage inspiration. If not, oh well, next time.

For May, I’m hoping to finish my jumpsuit, and it would be the absolute best if we could continue with the matching skirt my mommy and I were making last month. I’d totally love that, but better late than never, so I’m patient to find the time.
