Hello my lovelies. At this point I am getting a bit upset with the progress I am (not) making with this shirt. I did not finish it this time either, mainly because I got stuck with the fitting. It would not fit me the way it was supposed to, which doesn’t make sense to me because I drew out the pattern based on my own measurements.. Weird?? I’ll ask my mom why it wouldn’t fit like it should, but we didn’t have time for that this week. The progress (however small must be appreciated) was nice though. I finished hemming the back of my shirt and the armholes.

I also sewed the back and front pieces together on one side, which made me super excited and proud of myself.

Whilst I didn’t finish the project as I had hoped I would, I expanded my sewing toolbox. My lovely family surprised me with some super cool sewing stuff. I got new scissors! Cutting with them is like slicing butter with a hot knife: easy as hell.

Also, I got electronic scissors that would cut the fabric nicely. I am yet to try it out, but it works super cool!!

I also got this funny looking tailor’s tape measure.

And last but not least, I got these ruler sets that will come in handy next time I am doing armholes for example, or neckline.

I don’t give up hope and I know the shirt will work out just fine soon enough. I hope I have the patience to see it work out.
